There is always lots to see and do on the water. Canoes, kayaks, rowing boats, motor boats and sailing boats, how many types of water craft can you spot? Geese, ducks, swans and all sorts of water fowl. You don’t need binoculars as you can get up close (but not too close) to lots of bird-life and wild-life on the river.
Find a nice grassy spot for your sandwiches, haul your boats out of the water and stretch out in the sunshine watching the butterflies, dragonflies, and myriad little creatures who live by the water,
Sign the kids up on a course run by our highly experienced and fully qualified instructors. These are fun and designed to teach children alongside the BCU paddle power syllabus. The children will paddle both kayak and canoe, learn skills locally as well as going on local trips. They will become experts at paddling, rescuing themselves and others, understanding the river environment, teamwork, leadership and how to look after and clean their boats!
Adults need to have their BCU (British canoe union) one star qualification, find out more here.
See the children’s courses page for full details.
